{PROBE} A Note from the Director
Thanks to our supportive parents, outrageous students, and talented staff members we have been mixing up a recipe for success by combining fun with lots of learning experiences at the Probe Center. Supportive parents are a vital ingredient for every child's success. Probe parents rock! Anything they can do, learn, or discuss about parenting a gifted child is what they will seek out. This year parents have the opportunity to get involved through fund raising, recycling projects, and the Probe Advisory Board. Contact the Probe Center if you are interested in any of these activities. I truly appreciate the questions, concerns, and dialogue that our parents have with one another. Thanks for including me too! I always learn from the experts: PROBE PARENTS! When I say, "outrageous students," I say it with heartfelt sincerity. Your kids are a mixed bag of gifts and talents. They have interesting ways of expressing themselves and their personalities are as unique as you'll ever find under one roof! They can be challenging at times, but for the most part Probe students are a constant reminder of how different we all are as well as how similar we are. Everyday is like a parade of "stars" coming through the Probe doors with great enthusiasm and spirit. Thank you for entrusting your finest with us. A talented staff is an understatement of what describes the teachers and support staff at Probe. These teachers are flexible. They are always willing to switch gears and take a new direction more appropriate for the day or semester. They are kind and loving and treat your children as if they were their own. Our staff boasts teaching experience from 36 years to 10 years. Each one brings their special passions and abilities to the "buffet style of learning" at the Center. Probably the single most important thing that I admire about the Probe Staff is that they build personal relationships with each student. Students know they can trust Probe teachers. They know that while expectations are high, they can count on them to be sensitive and caring. The Probe Team is there to support you in anyway possible. We hope to see everyone at our parent-teacher conferences. See the calendar of events for dates and times. I hope you and your children have a fantastic school year. Let me know how I can better serve you (506-9106). Conversation is the first step to solving potential challenges before they become crises. Best regards, Mrs. Beverly Best |
