Student Incentive Program

McCluer's Comet Card Program recognizes and rewards students for academic achievement. Each type of card offers a variety of benefits to students who earn them, including discounts for dances, plays, athletic contests and more. Cards are awarded after each semester has been completed and grade point averages have been calculated.  Gold Card: G.P.A. of 4.000 or higher Free admission to all home athletic contests Free admission to all school plays and musicals 50% off cost of admission to all school dances, including Prom 50% rebate for ACT/SAT 30% discount on yearbook Exemption from two written, comprehensive final exams if holder has "A" in course at time of exam and is approved by teacher and principal (used at teacher's discretion)* Two days pre-arranged independent study  Red Card: G.P.A. of 3.500 to 3.999 50% off cost of admission to all home athletic contests 50% off cost of admission to all school plays and musicals 25% off cost of admission to all school dances, including Prom 25% rebate for ACT/SAT 20% discount on yearbook Exemption from one written, comprehensive final exam if holder has "A" in course at time of exam and is approved by teacher and principal (used at teacherís discretion)* One-day pre-arranged independent study  Blue Card: G.P.A of 2.000 and improved .5 from previous semester 25% off cost of admission to all home athletic contests 25% off cost of admission to all school plays and musicals 15% off cost of admission to all school dances, including Prom 15% rebate for ACT/SAT 10% discount on yearbook *Teachers must communicate their decision regarding final exam exemptions for academic cardholders in writing to their students at the beginning of the semester.
