Students at McCluer North High School enjoy a program of athletics that provides a variety of experiences for the development of sports skills, physical fitness, loyalty, teamwork, sportsmanship and respect for others. The program prepares students for success in their adult lives.

Participating in sports provides students with the opportunity to realize athletic potential, make new friends who share similar interests, and become a part of the heart of McCluer North High School.

The teachers and administrators encourage all students to become actively involved in athletics and student activities. Studies have demonstrated that students who participate in extracurricular activities do better in the classroom, have better school attendance and more self-esteem and self-confidence.

The attitude, conduct and appearance of participants and fans reflects on the entire school community. Each athlete, coach, student and fan is responsible for good sportsmanship while attending any school event whether at home or away.

Athletic programs at McCluer North High School include softball, football, soccer, tennis, volleyball, cross-country, basketball, wrestling, swimming, baseball, track and golf.

INVITATION TO FRESHMEN

All students are important and make their own unique contribution to the athletic program and McCluer North High School, but the freshmen athletes make a special contribution. They represent the future of interscholastic sports at McCluer North and we encourage incoming freshmen to get involved.
