Best Practices Award

The Community Learning Program at McCluer North High School has been selected as a winner of the Best Practices Award from the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. It is one of only 10 programs statewide selected to receive the Best Practices Award. Two teachers coordinate the program where students have an opportunity to earn credit for hands-on career exploration. During their CLP semester, students select a career area and work in a local business where they gain valuable on-the-job experience. CLP has been offered at McCluer North for 28 years. The Best Practices sponsors are the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and the Missouri Council of School Administrators.
