The Ferguson-Florissant School District is located in the heart of North County in St. Louis, Missouri. It stretches from the cities of Ferguson and Berkeley north to the city of Florissant and encompasses all or part of 10 municipalities and portions of unincorporated St. Louis County.

Within the individual municipalities, our residents enjoy all of the advantages of a small town against the backdrop of a major metropolitan area. North County boasts quick, easy access via three major highways -- Interstates 70, 170 and 270 -- and it is the first suburban area to be served by MetroLink, the light-rail system.

Housing opportunities within the District offer a blend of charming and affordable choices to fit any lifestyle or economic preference. Stately century homes and schools in the District capture a sense of history, community and family values that are reflected throughout the Ferguson-Florissant community.

Our residents enjoy excellent schools, great shopping, beautiful parks, safe neighborhoods, a full range of civic services and a friendly, family atmosphere.

Partners for Safe Schools
Appropriate student behavior and student safety are crucial to a successful school climate, and they are top priorities in the Ferguson-Florissant School District. Working in cooperation with local law enforcement agencies, the Ferguson-Florissant School District has developed an interactive, cooperative program that promotes student safety and good relations with local law enforcement officials.

In partnership with municipal and county police departments, the District offers the D.A.R.E. program where police officers conduct sessions for students in resisting peer pressure and substance abuse. Under cooperative agreements, uniformed police officers serve full-time in secondary and elementary schools using the School Resource Officer (SRO) national program.

A program of cross-training between law enforcement officers, administrators and the District's security officers builds a climate for optimal understanding and student safety. The District employs its own force of security officers who monitor campuses and assist wherever needed.
