The Ferguson-Florissant School District is recognized nationally as a leader in the field of education. That leadership is most readily apparent in our contribution to the field of Early Education.

For more than 20 years, the District, in partnership with the state of Missouri, has worked with Early Education experts to develop programs that have been adopted statewide and now serve as national models. The District has demonstrated on a national level its ability to develop effective new programs to meet the needs of children and their families. Because these efforts are encouraged by the administration and Board of Education, the District provides a strong, attractive employment base for dynamic educational professionals.

The Ferguson-Florissant School District was first in the state to adopt the Reading Recovery program districtwide and serves as a regional training center. The District has earned a distinguished reputation through the Little Creek Nature Area, Aggression Replacement Training, Teachers' Academy and the High School Student Advisement Program.
