Operations & Maintenance (Facilities)

The Operations and Maintenance Department (Facilities) is charged with ensuring the 31 facilities of the district are clean, safe, well maintained, comfortable and operational year-round.

The following divisions are under the Operations and Maintenance Department:

General Maintenance – Overall maintenance and repair; General Maintenance, Carpentry,
Safety, Locks/Locksmith, Pest Control
Grounds – Maintenance of all grass, Sports Fields, Irrigation, Parking Lots, Sidewalks, Tree Maintenance, Landscaping, Snow and Ice Removal, Painting (inside/out), Small Engine Repair, Assisting all other division with projects, deliveries, operating heavy equipment, etc.

Mechanical – HVAC
Electrical
Plumbing
AV/Electronics
Warehouse/Supplies/Central Receiving
Facilities Use – Accepts applications for use of district facilities by community organizations
Copy Center
Office Professionals

Long-Range Facilities Plan (LRFP)

As part of our Strategic Plan, Ferguson-Florissant School District is working on creating a comprehensive Long Range Facility Planning Study for the school district. In April 2024, we hosted community-wide facility master planning public meetings for families and staff to learn more about our current reality in the following key areas.

Building and grounds realities
Financial and facilities estimates

Over the last several months, the team from MGT has been surveying and assessing our current facilities, school buildings, and grounds. During the facility master planning community meetings, we shared a wealth of data, information, and context on our current reality.
