• Strategic Plan Overview

In 2013 stakeholders from the Ferguson-Florissant School District began a strategic planning process that continued through the 2013-2014 school year.  We have used those plans to guide our work since that time.  Through that process six goal areas were identified.

    • Accreditation and Student Achievement
    • School Infrastructure and Processes
    • Fiscal Responsibility and Financial Stability
    • Stakeholder and Community Engagement
    • Talent Management
    • Classroom and School Climate

We used the acronym UNITED for several years as a reminder of the six goals, and last school year the Board of Education approved a new acronym, EQUITY for those goal areas.

    • Economics
    • Quality Schools
    • Understanding
    • Infrastructure
    • Talent
    • Your Community.

You can see those goals on our website at www.fergflor.org/goals.

Strategic Plan 3.0 will retain those same six goal areas; however, we need your input as we revise the plan and determine what will indicate we’ve reached our goals and how we will measure that success.  What do you want to see for the future of Ferguson-Florissant School District?  What are your hopes and dreams?  This plan will guide our work for the next five years and beyond.

Dr. Davis led a virtual Zoom meeting on November 16 at 6:00 p.m. as we shared a brief overview of the process and goal areas then took time in small groups to listen from our students, staff, families, and other stakeholders.  Each of our stakeholders has an important perspective and thoughts that can help shape our work for the sake of our students.

As we move through the strategic planning process we want to hear your voice especially if you feel that your voice has not been heard in the past.  The Board adopted an Equity Resolution in April of 2018, and the District has made a commitment to equity for the sake of all of our students.  We need you even if you've never felt included before if we are to move forward as a school district and as a community.  Please watch for opportunities to participate, so that your thoughts and insights can be included as we develop the plan.
