• TutorMe Virtual Tutors Available for All Students in Grades 3-12

    Ferguson-Florissant School District students in grades 3-12 now have 24/7 access to virtual tutoring services for help on any subject. TutorMe allows students to connect with a subject-level expert tutor at any time to get support in current classes. It’s an online tutoring platform that allows students to connect with a live tutor 24 hours a day in over 300 subjects, right from home. Also, students can submit a paper on TutorMe’s Writing Lab and receive detailed feedback in less than 12 hours. Best of all, these services are no charge for families, it is provided by the District for any FFSD student.

    What is TutorMe?

    How do students log in?

    Students can log in from the Chrome web browser by using Clever. Details for how to do so are available online. 

     

    Are the tutors FFSD employees?

    They are not. The TutorMe network features thousands of tutors who are experts in their subject fields. Tutors must go through an extensive background check.

     

    What can students request assistance for?

    Everything!  Need help with a math question? Tutors can support. Need essay feedback? Tutors can support. Preparing for an exam? Tutors can support.

     

    How do students get tutoring assistance?

    Students can access TutorMe using the Clever portal. Details for how to do so are posted online.

     

    Do students need to be on camera to receive tutoring support?

    Students and families can decide. While video tutoring sessions are available, so too are audio chats and text-based chats.

     

    How do students get assistance with writing reports and essays?

    The TutorMe Writing Lab is accessible to students 24/7. More details about how to upload documents to the lab are available online. 

      

    Does TutorMe help with Advanced Placement and/or Dual Enrollment courses at the high school level?

    Yes! TutorMe began as a tutoring service for college students. Tutors are available to support students in most subjects and at any level.
