How Prop S Would Support School Safety and Security

Proposition S is a 48-cent operating tax levy increase that would provide dedicated funding to strengthen and maintain safety and security across the District.

If approved, Prop S would support continued improvements to secure entrances at McCluer, McCluer North, and STEAM High; maintain and upgrade more than 1,600 security cameras; and ensure the servers and storage systems that manage camera footage remain secure and up to date.

The measure would also fund updates to the Centegix emergency alert system, including panic badge upgrades and required equipment updates, along with visitor management systems to monitor building access.

Prop S would help maintain firewalls and network protections that safeguard student and staff data, support districtwide technology infrastructure upgrades, and enhance transportation safety through bus safety tools.

These investments would help provide safe, secure learning environments for students and staff every day. Listen to what students share about safety and security.
