Congratulations to Jacob Lorimier, Gabby Williams, Anna Stribling, and Lawson Huff for placing in the top ten in the 2018 National Technology Student Association during the junior solar sprint competition. The conference took place from Friday, June 22, to Tuesday, June 26, and consisted of over 1300 teams nationwide. Their team, the Junior Solar Sprint Team, was tasked with designing a solar-powered model car. They were judged by their rankings in their races, time trials, the design of their car, and required documents and written assignments.

“This is a major improvement from our performance in 2017, and I couldn’t be more proud of our team,” said Project Lead The Way teacher Eric Brown. “Last year, our team finished in third place at the Missouri state competition level. To have the opportunity to compete in the national conference and to have our Cougars finish in the top ten is immaculate.”
