New Administrator Assignments

Michelle Smith

Assistant Principal, Parker Road Primary

Smith brings 30 years of experience in education and leadership and is in her seventeenth year with Ferguson-Florissant School District. Prior to becoming an administrator at Parker Road, Michelle served the District as an assistant principal at the elementary level and as a district administrator. Prior to her leadership roles, Smith started in the District in 1997 as a classroom teacher and guidance counselor. She previously served for seven years as director of student and family support services in the Normandy School District. Smith started her career in education in the Clayton School District and Jennings School District as an instructional assistant and science teacher.

Smith holds an education specialist degree from Lindenwood University. She has a master’s degree in counseling from University of Missouri-St. Louis and a bachelor’s degree from Harris Stowe State University.

 

Dr. Pamela Burroughs

Assistant Principal, Halls Ferry Intermediate

Burroughs has been in education for 20 years, with 19 of those years serving in the Ferguson-Florissant School District. She has been an instructional support leader since 2016, previously serving in that role at Berkeley Intermediate. Prior to that role, she was a classroom teacher for 14 years.

She holds a doctorate in school leadership from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville. She also has a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from University of Missouri and a bachelor’s degree from Central Methodist University.

 

Dr. Malinda Rowsey

Assistant Principal, Griffith Intermediate

Rowsey was previously the instructional support leader at Bermuda Primary. Prior to joining the District, Rowsey served in the Riverview Gardens School District as an instructional coach and classroom teacher. She was also named the Riverview Gardens School District Teacher of the Year in 2016.

She holds a doctorate from Maryville University. She also has a master’s degree in elementary administration from University of Missouri-St. Louis and a master’s degree in education and innovation from Webster University. She received her bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from Harris Stowe State University.

Dr. Benjamin Eye

Assistant Principal, Wedgwood 6th Grade Center

Eye is a proud alumnus of McCluer North and has served the Ferguson-Florissant School District since 2008, starting his career as a classroom teacher at Ferguson Middle. He has held previous administrator positions at the secondary level, having served at Berkeley Middle, McCluer North, McCluer South- Berkeley and Johnson-Wabash 6th Grade Center.

He holds a doctorate and education specialist degree from Saint Louis University. He also has a master’s in education from Lindenwood University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri-St. Louis.

 

Hope Sutton

Assistant Principal, STEAM Academy at McCluer South-Berkeley High School

Sutton has served the Ferguson-Florissant School District since 2007. She was previously the instructional support leader at Johnson-Wabash 6th Grade Center since 2021. Prior to that role, Sutton served the District as a science teacher at Cross Keys Middle for 15 years and served as the science department chairperson from 2017-2021. Before joining the District, Sutton started as a classroom teacher in the Unified School District 500 in Kansas City, KS.

Sutton holds an education specialist degree from Arkansas State University. She holds a master’s degree in science curriculum and instruction from Missouri Baptist University and a bachelor’s degree from Lindenwood University.
