FFSD Students Attend FBLA National Leadership Conference in Chicago
Students from STEAM Academy at McCluer South-Berkeley High School qualified to compete at the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) National Leadership Conference.
The students earned their spots at Nationals by qualifying in their events at the Missouri FBLA State Leadership Conference, which was held in Springfield from April 10-12.
The FBLA is the largest business career and technical student organization in the world, with more than 230,000 members annually. The mission of the FBLA is to inspire and prepare students to become community-minded business leaders in a global society through relevant career preparation and leadership experiences.
The following STEAM Academy at McCluer South-Berkeley students qualified for FBLA Nationals, which was held June 29-July 2 in Chicago, Illinois, by placing in the top four in their events at States. Leilani Billups and Daryus Shurn both placed in the event. Leilani placed 4th in Introduction to Public Speaking and Daryus Shurn placed 4th in Public Speaking.
