Dr. Marion Brooks
Dr. Marion A. Brooks serves as an Area Coordinator for Special School District of St. Louis County. A native of North St. Louis, Marion received a Bachelor of Science degree from SIU-Edwardsville, a Master of Arts degree from Maryville University, a Specialist (Superintendent) degree and a Doctorate of Education Administration from Lindenwood University. Marion is certified in both Missouri and Illinois as a Teacher, Principal, Director of Special Education, and Superintendent.
Marion currently superviseS all programs and programming related to the assistance of students with physical, psychological, medical, academic needs under the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Individual with Disabilities and Education Act within her assigned area. Marion currently supervises staff at Cross Keys Middle School, Halls Ferry Elementary School, and Wedgwood 6th Grade Center. Within her area of supervision, Marion also serves on building wide committees including but not limited to Ci3T, PBIS, Scheduling, ILT, and Attendance. Marion assists in the development of procedures and trainings for programming and staff.
Marion began her career as a teacher in Special School District twenty three years ago and is excited to have returned as an administrator. Along with being a school administrator, Marion prides herself on mastering the art of juggling a successful career and being a great mother to her two sons, Tony O. Brooks II and Trés O. Brooks. Marion will continue to commit her career to developing and improving educational programming in school districts by serving as a coordinator with Ferguson Florissant School District and Special School District of St. Louis County.
