As a native of Florida, I came to the Midwest in 2005 to attend Southern Illinois University-Carbondale on a football scholarship. I obtained my Bachelor's degree in 2010 in Health Education and in 2014 I earned a graduate degree in Education Administration from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville.
In 2010, I began working for St. Louis Public Schools as a Physical Education Teacher at Beaumont High School. I then transferred within the district to Career Academy High School where I was Dean of Students. After five years at Career Academy, I moved on to teach briefly at East Saint Louis Senior High School before coming to Ferguson-Florissant School District.
