Duchesne Teacher of the Year - 2023/2024

Ms. Davis is an experienced and compassionate Pre-K teacher with a strong foundation in early childhood and elementary education. Growing up as the second eldest of four in South City St. Louis, Ms. Davis values close bonds with her family, who remain a significant part of her life. With her parents living just around the corner, she cherishes the connection to her roots.

An animal lover at heart, Ms. Davis's family has always had pets, and they collectively care for around eight dogs. Her own “dog-son,” Blazington, a 4-year-old American Staffordshire, holds a special place in her heart. Outside of teaching, Ms. Davis enjoys traveling and has visited four countries, with plans underway for her next international adventure. Music is her favorite escape, and she loves expressing her creativity through cooking.

With a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education, a Master’s in Educational Leadership, and principal certification, Ms. Davis is highly qualified and committed to her students' growth. Currently, she is furthering her expertise by pursuing an Education Specialist degree as a Mathematics Specialist. Now in her 8th year of teaching, she is dedicated to creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for her Pre-K students.

Ms. Davis is thrilled to be part of her students' early learning journey and looks forward to inspiring a love of learning in each of them.
