Shannon Tuggle
Assistant Principal
Ms. Tuggle is entering her sixteenth year in education, having previously served as an Academic Instructional Coach in St. Louis Public Schools. Prior to that role, Ms. Tuggle has served in numerous roles as a reading specialist, cross-categorical teacher and special education department chairperson. She has also served as an English teacher in Hazelwood School District from 2013-2017. Prior to starting a career in education, Ms. Tuggle worked for the State of Missouri as a social worker in the areas of income maintenance, self-sufficiency case management and child abuse and neglect. In addition, Ms. Tuggle has social worker experience in the areas of hospice, behavioral and mental health, suicide prevention and substance abuse.
Ms. Tuggle is pursuing her doctorate in Educational Administration and holds an Educational Specialist degree from Lindenwood University. She holds a master’s degree in Secondary Education with an emphasis in Reading from University of Missouri St. Louis and a master’s degree in Social Work from St. Louis University. She has a bachelor’s degree from University of Missouri - Columbia.

Carmela Davis
Assistant Principal
Ms. Carmela Davis will serve as our new Assistant Principal beginning in the fall of 2024.
Ms. Davis brings 27 years of experience in education and leadership. She has taught science at McCluer North High School for the past 13 years. Before joining the district, she was a team leader, curriculum coach, administrative intern, and assistant principal in St. Louis Public Schools and the Riverview Gardens School District.
She holds an educational specialist degree in educational administration from the University of Missouri-St. Louis and a master’s degree in educational administration from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from Washington University in St. Louis.
