- Overview
-
PARKER ROAD SCHOOL was completed in 1957 and opened the 1957-58 school year as a k-7 school program. That year the enrollment was 732 – there were 20 teachers. Because of the school’s large enrollment in the 1966-67 school year, two classes of 6th graders were housed at Church of the Master. It is a one-level building located at 2800 Parker Road in Florissant on 9.0 acres – the site originally contained 20.0 acres. An addition was constructed in 1988. The building has 41,116 square feet. There are 19 classrooms – not including special-purpose rooms. In 2019, the District was restructured under the leadership of Dr. Joseph Davis. Parker Road now serves as a Pre K-2nd grade primary building. It averages between 400-450 children.
Parker Road School’s first Principal was Roger Bredenkamp (1957-1962). Subsequent principals have been Gene Schultze, Art Bauer, James Weaver, Lowell Lilly, Sharon Norvel, Kristy Houle, Jane Crawford, and Dr. Malinda Ice.
Ms. Nicole Burnett is Parker Road’s current principal as of the 2024-2025 school year.
