Announcements

  • Dear Walnut Grove Primary School Families;

    As the new principal of Walnut Grove Primary School, it is my sincere pleasure and honor to become a member of this great school community.  I truly am honored to be appointed to this position and am looking forward to working with all stakeholders to provide the best possible educational program and learning environment for our students.  It will be my personal mission to ensure the success of ALL students.

    I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know our students in Ferguson-Florissant School District over the past 16 years in various roles.  Our students bring enthusiasm and excitement to learning, and I know the importance of continuing to help them reach our high expectations in a safe and welcoming learning environment.  As a graduate and lifelong resident of the district, I see the importance.

    There are many components that must come together to create a successful primary school program that supports the growth of our children.  A few of these components are:

    • we must develop strong, positive relationships among students, staff and families.
    • we all must maintain high expectations for all students.
    • we must create and provide a safe and welcoming learning environment in all that we do.

    I look forward to serving you as we work together to provide the best possible experience for each Walnut Grove student.  Building and strengthening a successful and effective learning community will require input from many sources, and I hope that you will feel free to contact me with any questions or feedback you may have.

    Again, I am honored to be part of the Walnut Grove Family and look forward to working with you in the weeks, months, and years to come to ensure the success of every student.  There is much to be done in order to reach our goal of success for ALL, but with everyone working together I know that it can be achieved.

    Sincerely,

    Leo A. Ganahl
