Student Council is a group of students in grades 3-6 who work to better our school environment and help in our community. Student Council members are now known as Student Ambassadors as they are taught how to be upstanders in situations that bullying.
Student Council meets twice a month, sometimes more, and plans events for the school and also plans ways in which we can assist our community. StuCo plans Spirit Days for Red Ribbon Week, Holidays, Dr. Seuss Read Across America, and the end of the school year spirit week. StuCo also chooses the theme for the end of the school year parade.
StuCo hosts various fundraisers for different charitable organizations throughout the year. Some of the organizations we have helped are; TEAM Food Pantry, Heavenly Hats, American Childhood Cancer Organization, Kids Against Cancer, Ronald McDonald House, Children's Hospital, The Crisis Nursery, and Cure Search for Children's Cancer to name just some.
StuCo members also visit the local nursing home during the Holidays and sing carols. We have gone to the Senior Dining Center to put on a show and serve lunch. StuCo also works at the annual Grandparents' Day event, Fall Festival, and Cookies and Crafts with Santa.
