Hello, my name is Jessica Kinworthy. This is my 7th year in education, all within the Ferguson Florissant School District. I have taught grades 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. I am a High School Graduate from Hazelwood West (go wildcats!) and attended grade school at Twillman and Russell Elementary, both within the Hazelwood School District. I graduated from the University of Missouri Saint Louis with a bachelors in Elementary Education, grades 1-6. I began my journey in education at Duchesne Elementary then transitioned to teach 4th grade at Robinwood Elementary. 

I knew that I wanted to be a teacher my Junior Year of high school while I was participating in the A+ program to earn a two year scholarship. My task was to help tutor 3rd graders after school. I immediately fell in love with education. Watching the students' faces light up and helping them to overcome struggles made me realize I wanted to become a teacher. I absolutely love what I do! My goals for the school year include getting to know students and families in order to build a rich classroom community. Together, we can achieve anything! It is extremely important to let children know they are loved, welcome, and that they belong in our classroom. I strongly believe in the power of education and hope to instill the love of learning for my students to last a lifetime. It is also my belief that no student is alike and it is our job to get to know these differences in order to teach every child how they learn best.
