Parent University
Ferguson-Florissant School District's Parent University program provides training, information, and resources to parents and caregivers to strengthen parent engagement within the community. By partnering with internal district departments, academic institutions, community organizations, and other agencies to equip families with additional skills, knowledge, and resources, Parent University will support and empower parents to become leaders and advocates for their child's learning.
Workshops offered through Parent University provide resources and training in areas such as safety, life skills, academic/career development, social-emotional wellness, and financial literacy. This will provide families with tools that they can use to encourage their children to become successful while fostering school and community improvement.
As a result of the devastating pandemic, Parent University sessions are currently virtual. We understand that the needs of parents and guardians have changed, and we have adapted to meet that need. Adaptations include administering parent surveys at the beginning of each semester to ensure we can accommodate the topic request in a timely manner.
