    Inclement Weather/AMI Plan

This school year, our inclement weather plan included the use of the first three (3) days of inclement weather as snow days. As a District, we have utilized those days earlier this month and any future weather-related school closures will be an Alternative Methods of Instruct (AMI) virtual learning day.  In the event that the District will need to use an AMI virtual learning day, it will be announced like all other weather-related closures using the District's automated messaging system, television stations, social media accounts, and the District website.

Teachers will assign students work through Canvas on each AMI day. Teachers will be available at designated times to provide student support and answer questions for students. During AMI days, students are expected to log in to Canvas daily and complete daily work assignments. In addition, PreK students are expected to log into SeeSaw for assignments or complete hard copies of assignments using the paper packets that were sent home. Parents should ensure that their students are logging into Canvas daily during the day. They should also monitor student assignments and the turning in of assignments. Parents/guardians should contact their student’s teacher with any questions.

In the event that an AMI day is scheduled, families will receive communication from their principal and/or teachers with specific instructional information.
