Bermuda Primary
Dear Bermuda families and staff,
Ferguson-Florissant School District is committed to the safety and well-being of our students and staff. As a result of a new Missouri state law, “Get the Lead Out of School Drinking Water Act,” we worked with a professional environmental consulting firm, Professional Environmental Engineers, Inc. (PE) to test water sources in our buildings.
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) currently has a lead drinking water standard limit of 15 micrograms per liter (ug/L) of lead in water. However, Missouri law requires that all Missouri schools achieve a 5 ug/L of lead in water.
Beginning in December, all FFSD schools and buildings were tested for lead concentration in school drinking water outlets.
We are pleased to report that at Bermuda Primary, all drinking water outlets were found to be in compliance and met the 5 ug/L Missouri standard limit of lead in water. Therefore, there is no additional action required at this time.

Note: The water outlet was not used for drinking purposes.
Upon receiving the results, we completed remediation, and PE completed retesting. Before being placed back in service, water from the source was tested to ensure the issue was resolved.

Berkeley Intermediate
Dear Berkeley families and staff,
Ferguson-Florissant School District is committed to the safety and well-being of our students and staff.
We are pleased to report that at Berkeley Intermediate, all drinking water outlets were found to be in compliance and met the 5 ug/L Missouri standard limit of lead in water. Therefore, there is no additional action required at this time.

Beginning in December, all FFSD schools and buildings were tested for lead concentration in school drinking water outlets.
We were notified that the preliminary results of testing indicated one (1) water source at Halls Ferry with the following lead concentration over 5 ug/L:
-
Kitchen faucet with a detected concentration of 85.0 ug/L- New faucet installed by May 17, 2024.
Ferguson-Florisant School District's facilities department has already begun working with Professional Environmental Engineers to remediate the kitchen faucet source that needs attention.
Before being placed back in service, water from each source will be tested to ensure the issue has been resolved. We will update results on the website after testing takes place.
All students and staff continue to have access to a variety of water outlets that have met compliance, throughout the school.

Wedgwood 6th Grade Center
Dear Wedgwood families and staff,
Ferguson-Florissant School District is committed to the safety and well-being of our students and staff. As a result of a new Missouri state law, “Get the Lead Out of School Drinking Water Act,” we worked with a professional environmental consulting firm, Professional Environmental Engineers, Inc. (PE), to test water sources in our buildings.
We were notified that the preliminary results of testing indicated five (5) water sources at Wedgwood with the following lead concentration over 5 ug/L:
-
Room 112 with a detected lead concentration of 8.1 ug/L - Remediation completed
-
Room 122 with a detected lead concentration of 57.0 ug/L- Remediation completed
-
Room 134 with a detected concentration of 52.2 ug/L- Remediation completed
-
Room 136 with a detected concentration of 93.9 ug/L- Remediation completed
-
Kitchen faucet with a detected concentration of 33.4 ug/L- New faucet installed by May 17, 2024.
Upon receiving the results, we completed remediation, and PE completed retesting on four water outlets. Ferguson-Florisant School District's facilities department has already begun working with Professional Environmental Engineers to remediate the kitchen faucet source that needs attention.
Before being placed back in service, water from each source will be tested to ensure the issue has been resolved. We will update results on the website after testing takes place.
All students and staff continue to have access to a variety of water outlets that have met compliance throughout the school.
