FERGUSON PASTOR AND MORTGAGE BANKER FILLS OPEN BOARD SEAT

Terry Tyson, senior pastor of Renewing Life Church and a mortgage banker, will fill a vacancy on the Ferguson-Florissant School District Board of Education, due to the resignation of Scott Ebert.  Tyson will complete the unexpired term of Ebert, which ends in April.  He was sworn into the position at the Jan. 27 board meeting.

Tyson and incumbent Courtney Graves are the only two candidates who filed for two open seats in the district’s April Board of Education election.  Because there are only two candidates filing for two seats, there will not be an election.  Both Graves and Tyson will begin three-year board terms in April.

Tyson is a 16-year resident of Ferguson.  He is married to LeShae Tyson and they have five children and five grandchildren.
