Congratulations to these FFSD students who were recognized during the July Board of Education meeting for receiving the Student Equity Panel Scholarship.

The student panel is part of the FFSD Equity Committee. The FFSD Equity Committee was established to ensure an equity lens is applied to District decisions following the Board of Education's adoption of the Equity Resolution in 2018. These students took an equity stance for lifting their voices for the greater good.

"Students have voices. They not only want to be heard, but they also need to be heard," said Dr. Courtney Graves, vice president of the FFSD Board of Education.

These students used their leadership while championing student voices to help guide the District's equity initiatives. The scholarship offers $500 for each student's continuing education plans.
