Dr. Jana Haywood

Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources

We are pleased to announce the Ferguson-Florissant School District Board of Education approved the hiring of Dr. Jana Haywood as assistant superintendent of human resources.

Haywood currently serves as the principal at Ritenour High School. Prior to that role, she served as the principal at Clyde C. Miller Career Academy High School in St. Louis. She has spent the last 12 years of her 18 year career in education as an administrator. She has served in St. Louis Public Schools as principal at Nance Elementary, assistant principal at Vashon High School, and principal at Patrick Henry Downtown Academy. Prior to those leadership positions, she was a math teacher and athletic director at Northwest Academy of Law High School. She began her career in education as a special education teacher at Sumner High School.

She holds a doctorate in educational leadership and administration from Maryville University, a master’s degree in educational leadership and administration from Lindenwood University, and a master’s degree in special education from Fontbonne University. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Saint Louis University.
