The Ferguson-Florissant School District Board of Education approved the selection of Nicole Burnett as the principal at Parker Road Primary.

In addition to her education credentials, Burnett is a licensed professional counselor who is nationally board certified and a registered play therapist. She was a school counselor in the Hazelwood School District from 2006 to 2018, and her career in education began as a classroom teacher within the same district.

“I am so excited to join the Parker Road family. Within my core lies a strong passion for all kids to succeed. To help accomplish this, every person, no matter the age or title, has a voice. I value spaces that are filled with thought-provoking questions and solution-focused thinking,” said Burnett. “My vision is to empower every student to identify their self-worth so they actively and positively impact our space. My goal is to cohesively work with an entire community that is driven to achieve personal success when it comes to supporting students to do their best.”

Burnett earned an education specialist degree in school administration, two master’s degrees in counseling from Lindenwood University, and a bachelor’s in education from University of Missouri-Columbia.
