Superintendent Davis Returns From Leave, Board Expresses Support
The Ferguson-Florissant School District (FFSD) Board of Education welcomes the return of Superintendent, Dr. Joseph Davis, from his requested leave of absence.
On Monday, Oct. 9, the board received word from Dr. Davis’ attorney in North Carolina that a dismissal of all charges has been filed.
Board of Education President Rob Chabot, reaffirmed the board’s commitment to Dr. Davis and district students. “The board is pleased the matter has been resolved. We are confident in Dr. Davis’ leadership and his focus on providing a great education for our students. We look forward to putting this incident behind us, and hope our community will join us in focusing on the future for the sake of our students.”
Dr. Davis will return from leave immediately and looks forward to spending time in schools with staff and students. “I want to thank all those who have been so supportive throughout this ordeal,” Davis stated, “I aim to build and rebuild any trust that may have been lost during this time, and I can assure you that I will be hyper-focused on moving our district forward and providing a high-quality education for ALL children.”
