Title I – Improving Basic Programs
The Title I program is designed to help children meet high academic standards by participating in schoolwide assistance programs. School-based decision-making, professional development, and parent involvement are important components of the Title I program.
Schoolwide Assistance Programs use Title I funds to upgrade the entire educational program of the school. Title I funds can be used to serve all children in a school-wide program.
Ferguson-Florissant currently has 22 Title I Schoolwide sites. After a review of data, each school determines the use of funds in consultation with stakeholders.
School wide End of Year Evaluations are completed in each Title I school annually to review and analyze data to determine the effectiveness of programming, strengths/weaknesses, and possible improvements or recommendations.
